URGENT RECALL | Christmas ham could contain listeria

Just days out from Christmas, when millions of Aussies will tuck in to some delicious ham, a recall has been issued for one brand amid fears of contamination.

Vic’s Premium Quality Meat brand of bone-in ham half leg, weighing 4.5kg, with the Best Before date of 29/01/2019 is the product recalled by Food Standards Australia and New Zealand.

It has been available for sale at Vic’s Meat Brisbane, as well as Victor Churchill in NSW, and Simon Johnson NSW and WA.

You may have bought it in either a brown cardboard box with a Victor Churchill logo, or a white box with the Vic’s Meat design (see below photo).

There is a concern it could contain Listeria, which may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with low immune systems.
