Two baby cots are being recalled over fears they may seriously injure infants.
The Sweet Heart Wooden Cot which converts to a toddler bed and the Always Direct 3 in 1 Wooden Baby Cot have both been pulled from sale because they “do not comply with the Australian mandatory safety standard.
A recall notice posted on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website says the cots “fail various design, construction, performance and labeling requirements”.

“The cots pose numerous potential risks to infants and children including entrapment, choking and fall hazards,” the notice reads.
The Sweet Heart Wooden Cot convert to toddler bed (Code:B0221) was sold online via EcheapFurniture.com between 2 December 2009 – 9 May 2017.
The 3 in 1 Wooden Baby Cot Crib Toddler Bed Pine Wood with Mattress (PI number – MAC18042014516) was also sold online via alwaysdirect.com.au
Customers have been urged to immediately stop using the cots and to contact either Echeapfurniture.com or Always Direct to arrange for a refund.
