RECALL: Fears Singleton Woolworths mince may contain metal fragments
People who have purchased mince from Woolworths in Singleton, New South Wales are being urged to check the expiry date with fears a batch may be contaminated with metal fragments.
In a recall notice posted on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website, the supermarket giant said they were recalling their Australian pork, lamb and beef mince with a use-by date of 15 October 2016.
“This recall is a precautionary measure as it may contain metal, potentially posing a health risk if consumed,” the statement reads.

Customers have been warned not to eat the recalled mince and to return it to their nearest Woolworths supermarket for a full refund.
The statement also says, “Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
