RECALL: Popular Coles vegetable patties pulled from shelves
A popular line of vegetable burger patties are being recalled over fears they pose a health risk to people with a wheat or gluten allergy.
In a recall notice posted on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website, Coles states that they are recalling their ready to cook curried pumpkin and corn burgers with a best before date of 2/11/16 and 9/11/16 due to the presence of an undeclared allergen.
“The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen – gluten from wheat, due to an incorrect back label,” the recall notice reads.
“Any consumers who have a wheat or gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.”
