RECALL: Popular ice-cream pulled from freezers over contamination fears

An urgent recall has been issued for a popular ice-cream sold at supermarkets across the country.

Halo Top’s Plant Based Caramel Chocolate Pretzel Ice Cream 473ml has been pulled from freezers due to potential chemical (solvent) contamination.

“Food products containing solvents may cause illness/injury if consumed,” Food Standards Australia said.

The ice-cream has been available for sale at independent food retailers including IGA in NSW, QLD & SA and Coles & Woolworths nationally.

The affected batch includes 0224, with a best before date of 11/8/2022.

People are being urged not to eat this product and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
