RECALL: Popular kids bath toys could pose choking hazard

A set of popular kids bath toys have been urgently recalled over fears they could pose a serious safety risk to young children.

The set of 4 crocodile-shaped bath toys by Sunnylife have been pulled from sale because the product “does not comply with the Consumer Product Safety Standard”.

According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the size of the small crocodile heads are smaller than permitted dimensions.

“The heads on the small crocodiles may become lodged in a young child’s throat and pose a choking or suffocation hazard,” The recall notice posted on the ACCC on Wednesday said.

The bath toys have been available for sale from Sunnylife both in stores nationally and online between 25 September 2019 – 18 May 2020.

People are being urged to stop using the bath toys and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
