A RECKLESS driver who flipped his Toyota Landcruiser down a hill after losing control and crashing head-on into a woman’s Mazda 3 sedan, forcing it into a river in northern NSW yesterday, remains on the run from police.
The chaotic scenes unfolded on Mylestom Drive at Repton about 7am when the two vehicles collided after the Landcruiser allegedly crossed over to the wrong side of the road.
The impact was so strong, the Mazda was catapulted down an embankment and into the Bellinger River.

The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital with minor injuries.
Police said the male driver of the Landcruiser tried to flee the scene in the damaged vehicle, but to no avail.
The man jumped out of the Landcruiser, which came to a rest about 500m down the road, and ran from the scene.
It’s alleged he put the vehicle in reverse before taking off on foot, causing it to roll down a hill and flip multiple times.
Investigating officers are attempting to locate the man involved.
