Record-breaking 10,000 plants to transform suburban parkland

A MAMMOTH record-breaking tree-planting event is set to transform a suburban Gold Coast parkland.

A whopping 10,000 plants will be planted around Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang next weekend, creating a new wetland area in the hope of attracting wildlife and to improve the health of waterways.

Nerang Riverkeepers have spent the past year organising the event and preparing the site and say they are expecting a great turn out.
