THE Gold Coast 600 might be over, but organisers are still celebrating with news the event had the best crowd numbers in five years.
184,732 people passed through the gates over the three days, close to 10,000 more than attended last year.

Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games Jann Stuckey announced the official crowd figures this morning.
“The Gold Coast 600 has yet again proved to be a huge draw card for the Gold Coast with a bumper crowd of 184,732 people attending this year’s event,” she said.
“The official crowd figures have surpassed last year’s event. I commend V8 organisers, sponsors and everyone involved in bringing us this year’s super V8s calendar.”
