Registrations open for Queensland Symphony Orchestra woodwind workshop at HOTA

Talented Gold Coast woodwind students and their teachers are being encouraged to register to take part in a special workshop with musicians from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra at HOTA next month.

The free Explore the Woodwinds workshop will take place on Friday May 4 at 1pm, and will focus on the wind quintet – flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and French Horn.

Members of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra will lead the workshop, with students set to to learn about ensemble performance, as well as take part in specific instrument tutorials.

In addition, workshop attendees will also get a chance to perform at HOTA later that evening and attend Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s show, Musical Fairytales.
