REPORT | Navy warships stranded in Sydney by oil mix-up

Concerns have been raised about maintenance for two of Australia’s biggest war ships, stranded on Garden Island in Sydney Harbour.

Defence force officials admit they have no idea how long our two largest warships will be stuck.

Navy sources have told The Daily Telegraph a series of alarming concerns have emerged about the maintenance of HMAS Canberra and HMAS Adelaide, with even basic oil changes botched.

A team has been flown out from Spain to oversee repairs.  The ships need to be ready in time for the war games with the Americans in July.
