Singer Demi Lovato reportedly rushed to hospital after suspected overdose

Pop singer Demi Lovato has reportedly been rushed to hospital after suffering an apparent heroin overdose.

US gossip website TMZ says the 25-year-old was transported from her Los Angeles home to hospital just before midday on Tuesday.

Her condition is unknown at this stage.

Authorities confirmed in a statement to local media that they were called to a “medical emergency” at the star’s home.

“LAPD and LAFD responded to a medical emergency at the 8000 block of Laurel View Dr. at 11:40 a.m,” The Los Angeles Police Department told People.

The report comes just a month after Lovato released her song ‘Sober’, in which she revealed she had relapsed.
