Reports Roosters star Shaun Kenny-Dowall arrested for drug possession
Sydney Roosters star Shaun Kenny-Dowall has reportedly been charged with possessing cocaine.
Police said a 29-year-old man was searched at the Ivy Nightclub on George Street in Sydney about 1.00am Friday.
It will be alleged in court they found .46 grams of the drug in a small bag.
In a statement, police said the man was issued with a court attendance notice for possessing prohibited drugs to appear in court on June 21.
The Sydney Roosters released a statement on Friday morning, confirming they were investigating.
“The Sydney Roosters have been advised of an incident that occurred overnight involving Shaun Kenny-Dowall,” the statement reads.
“The Club has commenced an investigation of the matter and has informed the NRL Integrity Unit.”
“The Club will be making no further comment at this time.”
