Logan, north of the Gold Coast, could soon be home to a development similar to that of Southbank in Brisbane.
News Corp reports the entertainment precinct, complete with restaurants and bars, could be built on the banks of the Logan River.
Logan City Council is trying to come up with a plan to attract visitors to the river.

Council owns about 50ha of land between the Red Bridge in Beenleigh and the mouth of the Logan River allocated for tourism and entertainment projects.
52-year-old Denise Gold lives on a property which backs onto the river and told News Corp that any developers would need to make sure projects did not adversely affect the mangroves.
