Eight kids found stabbed to death in Qld home
UPDATE: EIGHT children have been found stabbed to death inside a Queensland home just six days before Christmas.
Initial reports suggest the bodies of eight kids aged between 18-months and 15-years were found inside the Murray St home at Manoora, Cairns just before 11.30am on Friday.
It’s being reported that a family friend made the horrific discovery and that all the children were from the same family.
“Police were called to the Murray Street residence around 11.20am following reports of a woman with serious injuries,” police said.
“During an examination of the residence, police located the bodies of the children, all aged between 18 months and 15 years.”
A woman in her 30s – believed to be the children’s mother – is in hospital in a stable condition with multiple stab wounds.
She is assisting police with their investigations.
Emergency services have swooped on the area, the street has been cordoned off and a crime scene established.
The tragic incident has attracted widespread national and international media attention.
