Rescue chopper called in after woman falls 100m from NSW lookout

A RESCUE operation is currently under way to retrieve a woman who has reportedly fallen 100 metres from a lookout in the NSW Central Tablelands.

The woman, who is believed to be aged in her 20s, reportedly fell from the Grove Creek Falls lookout at Abercrombie, roughly 75 kilometres south of Bathurst, just before midday.

Early reports suggest the woman is conscious but the extent of her injuries remains unclear.


A rescue helicopter has been dispatched to the scene as emergency services attempt to reach the woman on foot.

There was no further information available at the time of writing.
