Driver dies after losing control of car and crashing into dam
UPDATE at 1:30 PM | A MAN has tragically died after being pulled from a sinking vehicle following a single vehicle crash near Bundaberg on Queensland’s Central Coast.
It happened near where the Bruce Highway meets Zillman Road at Wallaville just after 11.30am.
It’s understood the man, believed to be aged in his 50s, suffered a medical episode behind the wheel, causing him to lose control of his car and crash into a dam.
Witnesses pulled the man from his sinking vehicle and tried desperately to keep him alive until paramedics arrived but sadly he could not be saved and died at the scene.
No further information was available at the time of writing.

FIRST at 12:30 PM | A RESCUE helicopter has been dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle crash near Bundaberg where a four-wheel-drive has reportedly left the road and crashed into a dam.
It happened near where the Bruce Highway meets Zillman Road at Wallaville just after 11.30am.
It’s understood the driver, thought to be male, was initially trapped in the sinking vehicle but he has since been retrieved and required CPR at the scene.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the patient was in a critical condition.
Photos uploaded to social media show several ambulances at the scene.
