Rescue helicopter tasked after person swept off rocks at Bondi
An emergency rescue operation is currently underway after a person was swept off rocks at Sydney’s Bondi Beach this afternoon.
The Westpac Life Saver Twitter account posted that a rescue helicopter and Bondi Lifeguards were enroute after a person was swept off the rocks near the Icebergs around 2.45pm.
An ocean and air search is now underway with the person, believed to be a man, missing.
BONDI SEARCH: Lifesaver 21 is departing scene, returning to base to refuel. Visibility in the water is zero due to wild surf and debris.
