Rescue underway in Gold Coast Hinterland after man slips down waterfall

A man has been injured after falling around five metres down a waterfall in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Emergency Services were called to Binna Burra just after 12.30pm on Monday afternoon after reports a man had fallen from a height while on a walking trail.

The man is suffering leg, facial and abdominal injuries but is in a stable condition.

Crews from Queensland Ambulance and Queensland Fire & Emergency Services are currently with the man.

The rescue helicopter has also been called in.

Emergency services are determining whether the man can be walked out or whether he will need to be winched to safety.
