Residents treated for shock after shots fired into house and car

Police are appealing for public assistance after a number of shots were fired at a house and car in the Lake Illawarra area last night.

About 11.30pm Thursday 17 September 2015, police were called to Clematis Crescent, Barrack Heights, after shots were fired into a house and a parked car.

Five adults inside the home escaped injury, however ambulance paramedics attended and treated some of them for shock.


A crime scene has been established and detectives from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command are conducting inquiries.

Whilst investigations are continuing, at this stage police do not believe the shooting to be random.
