REVEALED: The Today Show’s new co-host has been announced!
Long-time TODAY Show viewers will be seeing a familiar face back on their TV screens, with much-loved presenter Georgie Gardner confirmed as the breakfast show’s new co-host.
TODAY revealed the much-anticipated news via social media on Thursday.
“We’re very excited to announce Georgie Gardner is coming back to TODAY! Welcome home, Georgie!” the breakfast program tweeted.
Gardner will be replacing Lisa Wilkinson, who announced her departure from the show in October after failing to reach a deal on a new contract.
Wilkinson, who will be joining Network 10 from next year, was one of the first people to congratulate Georgie on the role.
Warmest congratulations to my friend @GeorgieG who has just been announced as the new co-host of @TheTodayShow. She will nail it. #9today
