Chief executive officer Bob Newman says the fantastic response to last year’s event demanded it be expanded over two days for 2014.
“Cooly Rocks On fans who can’t wait until May 30 for the best 11 days of 50s and 60s nostalgia in Australia will get a great dose over the Revs’n’Rockabilly weekend,” Bob said.
Mr Newman said Revs’n’Rockabilly has established itself on the local calendar as a premier warm-up event for Cooly Rocks On.
“This is the sort of music, cars and atmosphere that have played a part in bringing thousands of people from around Australia and overseas to this region for years now,” Bob says.
Saturday’s fun will start with the pre-1970 car cruise and display, with the music underway from 6PM QLD time. On Sunday the gates will be open for the Show and Shine from 9AM QLD time and the music will also get underway at 1pm QLD time.
Revs’n’Rockabilly is on February 15 and 16 at Pioneer Country, Fraser Drive, Tweed Heads South.
Admission is $10 for adults, and children under 16 accompanied by an adult will be admitted free. Weekend passes are available for just $15, but these are strictly limited to the first 300 sold.
