Reynolds romps to pole for Darwin finale
DAVID Reynolds put a tough Saturday behind him to take pole position for the final V8 Supercars race of the SKYCITY Triple Crown in Darwin.
The Prodrive Racing driver topped a qualifying session for the first time since 2013, laying down the fastest lap of the weekend with a 1m06.253s effort that was over a tenth clear of anyone else.
“It’s awesome for the team. Our whole four cars are going awesome at the minute so everybody’s really rapt,” Reynolds said.

Reynolds was fastest of all in Friday practice but was unable to back up that form on Saturday, a setup change blunting the one-lap pace of the car, before he became caught up in the mid-pack carnage in both races.
But another overnight setup change has put the bright green Bottle-O Falcon back on top.
