Ride-share driver allegedly knocked unconscious by passenger

A ride-share driver has been hospitalisied after being knocked unconscious in a violent attack in Sydney’s north-west early this morning.

Police were called to Nullabor Street at North Kellyville shortly after 3.00am, following reports of two men fighting in the street.

Upon arrival, they found a 37-year-old man unconscious suffering from a head injury.


Police immediately rendered assistance before paramedics arrived on scene and took over.

He was then rushed to Westmead Hospital, where he’s now reported to be in a stable condition

A 19-year-old man, who is believed to have been one of three passengers in the ride-share vehicle, was arrested nearby a short time later and is currently assisting police.

The two other passengers, an 18-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, are also speaking with officers, while a Toyota Camry sedan and wrench have been taken for forensic examination.
