Ride-share driver charged with sexually assaulting passenger

A ride-share driver will front court today accused of sexually assaulting his female passenger in Sydney’s west.

It’s understood the 30-year-old woman got in to the car outside a licensed premises in Rouse Hill around 11.30pm on Saturday  night.

The 50-year-old driver is then accused of stopping on Marsden Park and sexually assaulted the woman, before driving to her Penrith home.


The victim went to Penrith Police Station the next morning to report the incident, leading to the arrest of the driver at a home on William Street in Granville.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

He was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
