17 hospitalised following bus and car crash in Gold Coast hinterland
UPDATE @ 2.00pm: 17 people, including a pregnant woman, have been taken to hospital following a serious mini bus and 4WD crash in the Gold Coast Hinterland today.
The accident happened on Nerang Murwillumbah Road at Advancetown, around 15km south of the Beechmont turn off just after 9.20am.
Queensland Ambulance confirmed 20 people were assessed at the scene, with 17 taken to Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital for treatment.
It’s understood the patients escaped serious injury, with most suffering seat belt injuries and neck pain.
Nerang Murwillumbah Road was closed in both directions but has since reopened.

EARLIER @ 10.20am: AT least 18 people are being assessed by paramedics following a serious mini bus and 4WD crash in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The accident happened on Nerang Murwillumbah Road at Advancetown, around 15km south of the Beechmont turn off just after 9.20am.
Queensland Ambulance confirmed multiple crews were on scene treating and assessing the patients, however none of the injuries are thought to be life threatening.
Police have closed Nerang Murwillumbah Road in both directions.
