Road closures in place following serious crash

Road closures are in place following a serious crash in the state’s Central Coast.

Just before 9am today (Wednesday 22 July 2015), a white utility was travelling south on George Downes Drive, Central Mangrove, when it and a silver 4WD collided.

The male driver of the utility suffered serious injuries and has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.


The female driver of the 4WD suffered minor injuries, and was trapped in the vehicle for a short time. She was later released and airlifted to hospital.

Two children also travelling in the 4WD were taken to hospital for monitoring.

Gosford Police have established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the incident.
