Road damage still causing headaches for Gold Coast motorists

UPDATE 920AM: A large crack has opened up on Hope Island Road westbound before you get onto the M1 on ramp heading south.

The damage is at the intersection and is extensive.  It is hard to avoid if you’re travelling that way.

A road crew is expected to head out to carry out repairs.

Gold Coast-Springbrook Road is expected to remain closed between Neranwood bridge and Pine Creek Road until at least Wednesday 8 June. Access to Springbrook is via Pine Creek Road.

JUST IN: Beware if you’re travelling on Tweed Valley Way in Tumbulgum, it is still underwater.
