Roads to be closed as 30,000 people flock to Surfers for firework spectacular

GOLD Coasters heading into Surfers Paradise for the annual Seafire spectacular are being urged to plan their travel with roads to be closed in the entertainment precinct.

An estimated 30,000 people are expected to swoop on Surfers tonight to watch the world’s greatest pyrotechnicians battle it out in the skies above the foreshore.

While the free main 90-minute event will start at 6:30pm, entertainment will kick off from 2pm involving a preshow with displays from the Royal Australian Navy, live music, and activity on the beach.
