Roads closed after bicyclist hit by car at Gold Coast shopping centre
Grave fears for a bike rider who suffered serious head injuries after getting hit by a car on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Harbour Side Court and Oxley Drive just after 4.30 pm, following reports of a crash.
Paramedics, including critical care and the high acuity response unit, were there, where they assessed one person at the scene.

They reported that they treated a patient for serious head injuries and that they were in a critical condition.
There have been no transports to the hospital from the scene, and emergency services are still there after over an hour.
Queensland Ambulance Service could not confirm the age and gender of the patient.
No one else was assessed at the scene.
Queensland Police have confirmed that forensic crash investigators are at the scene.
