Robbers armed with butter knife steal cash, smokes

Two men are on the run after holding up a shop in Casula, south-west of Sydney.

The pair walked into the store on Camden Valley Way just before 3.30am and approached the counter.

At the time, the shop attendant, a 25-year-old man, was stocking shelves.

One of the men armed approached the worker and threatened him with what appeared to be a butter knife.

The duo then jumped the counter and stole money and cigarettes before running from the store.

The staffer was not injured.

The dog squad was called in and police searched the area but were unable to locate the men.
