Robert Xie handed five life sentences for brutal murder of relatives

Robert Xie has been handed five life sentences for the brutal murder of five of his relatives, including two young nephews.

Xie was sentenced for the horrifying crime, which has been dubbed one of the worst massacres in NSW history, at the NSW Supreme Court on Monday.

It comes eight years after the 53-year-old bludgeoned his brother-in-law Norman Min Lin, Mr Lin’s wife Yun Li Lily Lin, her sister Irene Yin Yun Bin and the Lin’s two son’s Henry, 12, and Terry, 9 to death at their North Epping home with a hammer-like object.
