Legendary rocker Tom Petty has passed away, aged 66.
The “Free Fallin’” singer was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center on Monday morning after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu.
Petty’s long-time manager Tony Dimitriades confirmed the tragic news in a statement a short time ago.

“On behalf of the Tom Petty family we are devastated to announce the untimely death of of our father, husband, brother, leader and friend Tom Petty,” Dimitriades said.
“He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Centre but could not be revived.
“He died peacefully at 8:40pm surrounded by family, his bandmates and friends.”
