Rockhampton river peak to hit today

Rockhampton’s Fitzroy River is due to peak at around 9 metres at midday on Thursday.

The flood peak is expected to last at that level into the weekend and comes after former Tropical Cyclone Debbie struck.

Authorities estimate that something in the vicinity of 300 homes and businesses will be filled with floodwaters.
