Ronda Rousey has revealed she thought about killing herself after her devastating knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne.
The 29-year-old was previously undefeated in the UFC’s women’s bantamweight division and was a huge betting favourite going into the bout with Holm last November.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Rousey said in the immediate aftermath of her knockout loss she had suicidal thoughts.

“I was sitting in the corner and was like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?'” Rousey told Ellen. “Literally sitting there thinking about killing myself. In that exact second, I’m like, ‘I’m nothing. What do I do anymore? No one gives a s**t about me anymore without this.'”
Rousey said her boyfriend, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, helped her through that moment.
“To be honest I looked up and I saw my man Travis (Browne) was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, ‘I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive’.”
