Runaway Bay convenience store held up by man armed with crowbar
A Runaway Bay convenience store has been held up by a man armed with a crowbar this morning.
The frightening incident occurred just before 6.00am, when a man entered a shop on Oxley Drive and threatened the store owner.
According to 7NEWS journalist Bianca Stone, the convenience store employee fought back with scissors, forcing the man to flee the scene empty handed.
He was last seen taking off in a vehicle and remains at large.
Police confirmed the employee suffered minor injuries to his hand in the attack.
