SA woman charged over chopstick stabbing

A woman has been charged with stabbing a man in the chest with a chopstick in Adelaide, causing an injury that needed surgery.

The plastic chopstick was sticking out of the 26-year-old man’s chest when paramedics arrived at the scene at a block of units in Gilberton on Friday afternoon.

He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

A 25-year-old woman, who knows the man, was arrested at the scene and later charged with aggravated recklessly cause harm.

She was also arrested for breach of bail and was remanded in custody to face court on Monday.
