Sacked SUNS player in trouble again

FORMER Gold Coast SUNS player Campbell Brown has been charged following an incident inside a Gold Coast nightclub on Saturday night.

Following his horse’s win at the Magic Millions earlier in the day, Brown and one of his mates moved their celebrations to a Broadbeach nightclub where it is alleged the pair became involved in a ‘scuffle’ with police.

It is understood police were at the nightclub for a separate incident when it is believed brown and his accomplice refused an order to move out of the way before allegedly making contact with the officers.

Both Brown and the other man were arrested and taken to Surfers Paradise Police Station where they were charged with a number of offences, including assault and obstructing police, before being released.

Brown took to twitter on Sunday, denying any ‘scuffle’ took place instead claiming it all to be a “misunderstanding”.

Just two months ago, Brown broke the jaw of one of his teammates while outside a nightclub in Los Angeles and was subsequently sacked from the club as a result.
