Saints coach calls for strong aggression against GWS

St Kilda makes its first appearance in a Friday night game in more than two years, when it takes on GWS at Etihad Stadium tonight.

Saints coach Alan Richardson says it’s a great opportunity on the big stage.

“At the moment we’re 3 and 3 which is a reasonable launch pad,” he said

“We’ve got to focus as much on us as we do on GWS otherwise we’ll be a little bit too reactive and we don’t want to be that way.

“We want to lay strong, aggressive, bold footy and we’re going to have to go after our own game really aggressively.”

The Saints have made one change, with Nathan Wright replacing Maverick Weller, who rolled an ankle at training.
