Santa will break out the boardies at Harbour Town this Christmas

Santa is ready for a summery festive season at Harbour Town this year, opting to beat the heat with a new Gold Coast-inspired ensemble.

While the jolly man will still be rocking his traditional red coat and hat when he arrives at the centre this Tuesday, he will be swapping his winter pants and snow boots for bright beach boardies and a pair of Havaiana thongs…of course!

Santa has also traded in his usual sleigh for a customised, retro Santa Surf Buggy, complete with a cool blue paint job, shade sail roof and surfboards – just in case the swell picks up!

Leading the charge when it comes to Christmas savings, Harbour Town will once again offer an affordable alternative to the often-costly Santa photos with free Santa Selfies available for all shoppers this year.

Customers will be able to wave down Harbour Town’s surfy Santa for a snap from Tuesday 29 November until Saturday 24 December as he cruises around the open-air Centre in his stylish new threads and ride.

And the much-loved family pets won’t be forgotten either, with Harbour Town bringing back Santa Pet photos again this year outside the Pet Supplies Direct store on 4 and 11 December from 10.30am-2.30pm, with 50% of proceeds going to Guide Dogs QLD.

Harbour Town’s tech-savvy Santa will also be taking shoppers on a Sale Safari from 12-18 December, where he’ll be sharing his festive finds on Instagram Stories @HarbourTownGC and loading up his sack with all his favourite items. Shoppers who follow @HarbourTownGC on Instagram will go in the draw* to win the entire contents of Santa’s gift sack by snapping and sharing a Santa Selfie and hashtagging #santasalesafari and #harbourtowngc.
