If you’ve always wanted to visit France but haven’t had the chance, this weekend you can get a taste of the French lifestyle right here on the GC.
The Bonjour French Festival is can-caning its way into Broadbeach this Friday to Sunday, with plenty of cuisine, culture and community activities to enjoy.
Foodies, you’ll want to head straight to the French market on Saturday and Sunday, with crepes, waffles, and plenty of cheese just some of the tasty treats on the menu. You can wash all that down at the festival wine bar which will be serving up tastings of some of France’s best drops.

If seeing people stuff their faces full of food is your thing, you are in for a treat with the Montmarte choux a la creme eating competition and the Petit Francais Oz Snails eating competition set to draw a crowd over the weekend. There will also be plenty of dancing, live music and fashion shows scheduled, and a big kid area to keep the young ones occupied for hours.
Film buffs, Friday night is when you’ll want to visit the festival to check out a screening of French movie ‘Intouchables’ under the stars.
