Schapelle Corby attempts to take her own life: Reports

SCHAPELLE Corby has attempted to take her own life with a knife while in a meeting with parole officials, according to multiple media reports.

Corrections officials have told Fairfax media Schapelle Corby attempted self harm during a two-hour visit to her sister Mercedes’ Kuta home on Monday night.

Boss of the Bali parole board, Sunar Agus is quoted telling Fairfax’s Southeast Asia Correspondent Gabrielle Dunlevy that he visited her on Monday night where he found her “unstable mentally”.

“She seemed afraid when I tried to have dialogue with her. She tried to kill herself, she took a knife, but her family immediately prevented her,” he said.

It’s reported Mr Agus met with the convicted drug smuggler to discuss “various possibilities’’ that may follow the Seven Network’s recent Sunday Night documentary where Mercedes was interviewed about her sister’s release from prison.

Mercedes has since hit back at the claims, denying Schapelle tried to self harm.
