School students horrified after man exposes himself

Police are seeking public assistance after a man exposed himself to two school students earlier this week.

About 1.45pm on Monday 2 November 2015, two school students were walking through Burrows Park towards Princes Street.

As they approached the exit of the park on Princes Street, they saw a man standing with his pants down touching his genital region.

The man looked towards the students and made no attempt to cover himself as they ran past to leave the park.

The students notified their teachers the following morning, who in-turn notified Ryde Police.

Patrols were conducted to locate the man and surrounding premises canvassed for witnesses; but police have so far been unable to locate the man.

Officers would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist them with inquiries.

He is described as being of Mediterranean / Middle Eastern appearance, about 183cms tall, about 50 to 60 years-old with brown thinning hair and a short beard and obese build. He was also wearing reading glasses.

The man was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with black or khaki coloured shorts.

An investigation into the incident is underway and anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information that may assist, is urged to contact Ryde Police on (02) 9808 7401 or Crime Stoppers.
