A young schoolgirl has been faced with her worst possible nightmare, waking up in the middle of the night to find a stranger in her bed.
Samuel Robert Aldrich, 19, broke into his 16-year-old victims Melbourne home in May this year in a horrifying and sickening planned attack.
The County Court of Victoria heard on Wednesday that Aldrich had taken photos of his victims house four days before the traumatising incident and even googled ‘how to make sure you don’t wake someone up’ before breaking into the home.

Once inside the residence, Aldrich is alleged to have made his way into the teen girls bedroom where he threatened her with a knife before digitally raping and taking photos of her genital area while she pleaded for him to stop.
Aldrich fled the home following the sickening ordeal however handed himself into police after seeing reports of the incident in the media.
He pleaded guilty to one count each of rape and aggravated burglary, and three counts of indecent assault, with sentencing due to take place next week.
