School’s back! So please drive safely

Gold Coast kids return to school today for Term 2, and police have put out a reminder to all road users to be careful when driving around school zones.

Acting Inspector Sasha Roberts said drivers should expect high volumes of traffic – particularly in and around schools.

“We’re just asking parents and carers of children to be extremely vigilant when they’re driving through the these school zone areas – not to speed, not to be distracted, please do not talk on mobile phones,” she said.
