Seagull covered in curry tricks rescuers into thinking it’s an exotic species

Well, this is a weird one… A vet clinic in the United Kingdom has had a bit of a laugh, after a brightly coloured exotic bird brought in, turned out to just be a seagull covered in curry.

A ‘bright-orange herring gull’ was rescued on the side of a busy motorway last week, before a call was made to the Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital.

“We had no idea what to expect – and would never have guessed at this!” – the hospital’s Facebook post reads.

Though, when the brightly coloured bird was brought in, and given a good old clean, vets discovered it was just a sea gull. Covered in curry. NO JOKE!

“He had somehow gotten himself covered in curry or turmeric! It was all over his feathers, preventing him from flying properly.

“We have no idea how he got into this predicament but thankfully, apart from the vibrant colour and pungent smell, he was healthy,” the post read.

The gull is luckily doing fine, and the hospital has named him ‘Vinny’ after Vindaloo Curry.
