Search continues for two people connected to Logan murders

Detectives are continuing to search for two people believed to be connected to the murder of a man and a woman in Logan.

The search for Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru took a grim turn on Thursday after the remains of two people, believed to be the missing pair, were found inside a large metal box in a dam.

Just a matter of hours earlier, police announced they had charged six people with murdering the duo, who hadn’t been seen since late last month.

The five men and one woman briefly faced a Brisbane court yesterday.

On Thursday afternoon, police confirmed they are also looking to speak with two more men, a 32-year-old from Crestmead and a 25-year-old from Kingston, who they think may know something about the crime.

“They will know who they are … we would encourage them to come and see us now,” Detective Inspector Dave Hutchinson said.

Anyone who may have seen or picked up two fluorescent yellow ratchet straps from Third Ave in Marsden on the morning of January 25 is also being urged to contact police.

It’s believed the straps were used to tie the box to a green Toyota Hilux utility, which was then driven to the suspected murder scene somewhere near the dam.

It’s believed the victims and the six suspects were all associates.

A motive for the murders is unclear at this stage although police suspect it is drug-related.
