The search for two fishermen who failed to return home after going on a fishing trip in Moreton Bay will continue for a fifth day.
Carwyn Massey, 25, and Timothy Maher, 31 phoned their families late Saturday to let them know they were on their way home, however they never made it.
Following a major air, sea and land search, their pair’s boat, a blue 3.3m aluminium tinnie, was found by Water Police submerged in waters off Green Island at around 5pm on Sunday.

Life jackets and fishing rods were also discovered.
Today’s search efforts today will primarily be focused in the vicinity of Green, Mud and St Helena Islands and will be supported by volunteer marine groups and an aircraft.
An extensive land and sea search continued yesterday, however no items of significance were found.
Officer in Charge of Brisbane Water Police, Senior Sergeant Edden, said that the families of the missing fishermen are “very appreciative of the ongoing public support in the search for the men.”
