AUTHORITIES have called off the search for a swimmer who reportedly went missing off North Stradbroke Island yesterday.
Witnesses reported seeing the person swimming in a north-westerly direction off the shore of Polka Point around 6.00pm.
The Water Police, Polair and Coast Guard were scouring waters throughout the evening, though didn’t find anything.

The search has now been suspended, after no missing persons reports were made overnight.
Police are still urging anyone with information to come forward.
