Second critical crash on Hinterland road in 24 hours

Another woman is now fighting for life in hospital, after a second crash on a road in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Emergency services were again called to Mundoolun Connection Road in Boyland just after midday yesterday, following reports of a single dirt bike crash.

A 39-year-old woman was briefly treated for critical back and chest injuries, before she was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The incident comes not even 24 hours after emergency services were called to the same road after a horror incident involving a trampoline.

A 63-year-old woman suffered critical injuries after a loose trampoline flew off a trailer and into her windscreen.

She had to be airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where she is still fighting for life.

It’s understood her 31-year-old daughter was driving another car nearby and suffered minor injuries in the freak event as well.

Police are still investigating.
